When I was a kid I wanted to serve a mission. This was
mostly so I could travel somewhere exotic. My top two choices were Australia
and Japan so it comes as no surprise that I’ve been pinning photos of Japanese
flower gardens on Pinterest while whispering, ‘I want to go to there,’ in
breathless fascination.
I think walking through the celestial tunnel of violet haze pictured
below will be 1000 times more beautiful in person than the photos can even
begin to profess. According to a friend who has walked through this
tunnel, it is pretty amazing even if it did take 2 hours by bullet train to get
there. (Not to mention the 12 hour plane ride, 2 hour bus ride, and 30 minute
taxi ride. It’s not exactly accessible. J)

I think when I walk
through this tunnel someday that I will feel like this music makes me feel
today:
It doesn’t hurt that this video was filmed in paradise.
Like Somewhere Over the Rainbow there really is something
better than the here and now. As good as the now can sometimes be, this is
really not as good as it gets. Every now and then we get a glimpse of it, don’t
you think?

This is my absolute, most favorite ever Piano Guys song AND video. That's where I would be right now if I could be anywhere. Jeff will be there next week. Lucky guy. :P
ReplyDeleteSeriously. LOVE this song. It just speaks to me. Does Jeff want to fly through Colorado Springs this time just for an afternoon visit? ;) Just kidding. We know the Springs are def not as accessible as Seattle. That was a fun, surprise visit from him in Seattle a couple years ago, though.
DeleteFunny you should say that. His layover is in Denver. :)
DeleteIt is a gorgeous as you want it to be. I wish we could have gone there together. The smell of the wisteria makes it even better. We truly live in a beautiful world.
